Why We're Talking About Wellness This Week

Over the last few days, we've been sharing more about the new vision for The Stand DE—our commitment to workforce development, leadership, entrepreneurship, and community impact.

Today, I want to talk about wellness. Not because wellness is something new, but because it's something that has always mattered. This Sunday, I'll be hosting The Clarity Experience, a wellness event designed to help women reflect on the first half of the year and intentionally prepare for the next season of their lives.

What's interesting is that this event was actually created before I fully defined the pillars of The Stand DE. As I've spent the last few weeks gaining clarity on the future of this organization, one thing became obvious: wellness belongs here. The Stand DE is about helping people grow.

Sometimes that growth looks like learning a new skill, developing as a leader, starting a business, or gaining work experience. Other times it looks like slowing down long enough to reflect, heal, reset, and gain clarity about what's next. Both matter. Because before we can build stronger businesses, stronger teams, or stronger communities, we have to build stronger people. That's why wellness is now one of the pillars of The Stand DE.

The Clarity Experience is the first event you'll see connected to that vision. As we approach the end of the second quarter and prepare for the second half of the year, we're creating space for women to reflect on where they've been, celebrate how far they've come, release what no longer serves them, and gain clarity on where they're headed next. This event wasn't originally created under The Stand DE. But as the vision became clearer, I realized it was aligned all along. Because wellness isn't separate from community development. It's part of it. And stronger communities start with stronger people.
